AWKWARD until
she tears a carcass for the dog
lays down to the sound of a frog
reveals a breast for her babe
watches the daylight quickly fade
she makes good use of her own time
finds energy somewhere for the crazy hour
she is alone and in her place
how awkward are we the human race
how awkward are we the human race
sometimes she senses an eruption close
a volatile mess on a quiet coast
closes up and searches within
only to find some fiery sin
and what she dreams is how feels
now too scared to reveal
incase she gives herself away and
consequences she will pay
he is alone and in his space
how awkward are we the human race
how awkward are we the human race
now he is upon his golden throne
watching the waves rolling in
he truly believes she has seen
he moves something within her soul
a subtle stirring not all out of control
and within his reach and
her fiery speech
he raises his hand a points upwards and says
'look a full moon awaits a covering cloud
and entwined they fly into space
how awkward are we the human race
how awkward are we the human race
